Safeguarding Policy
At Unit 1 the safety and well-being of our community members is our utmost priority. We are dedicated to creating an environment that promotes trust, respect, and protection for everyone who interacts with our organization. This Safeguarding Policy outlines our commitment to safeguarding individuals, particularly those who may be vulnerable, and provides a framework for preventing harm and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Zero Abuse Policy
At Rochester Indoor Skatepark, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all our visitors and team members. Our Zero Abuse Policy reflects our unwavering dedication to preventing and addressing any form of abuse, harassment, or misconduct within our facility.
Our Commitment:
Zero Tolerance: We have a zero-tolerance approach towards any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination, or misconduct. This applies to all visitors, employees, volunteers, contractors, and anyone associated with our facility.
Safe Reporting: We encourage anyone who experiences or witnesses abuse, harassment, or misconduct to report it immediately to our staff or management. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.
Confidentiality: We treat all reports with the utmost confidentiality, respecting the privacy and dignity of all involved parties to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Prompt Action: We will take immediate and appropriate action upon receiving any report, conducting a thorough investigation and, if necessary, involving relevant authorities.
Non-Retaliation: We prohibit any form of retaliation against individuals who report incidents in good faith. Reporting abuse or misconduct will not result in any negative consequences.
Types of Abuse and Misconduct Covered:
Our Zero Abuse Policy covers but is not limited to:
Physical abuse or assault
Verbal abuse or threats
Sexual harassment or assault
Discrimination or bias-based misconduct
Bullying or intimidation
Stalking or invasion of privacy
Unauthorized sharing of personal information
Any other inappropriate behaviour that creates a hostile or unsafe environment
Consequences:
Individuals found to have engaged in abuse or misconduct may face immediate consequences, including but not limited to:
Suspension or banning from our facility
Termination of employment
Legal action as applicable
